Loving Lately #25

This week my skin has been feeling particularly sensitive, blotchy and all round unpleasant (I'm pretty sure I know what's going on but need a little more time for confirmation). So I've been keeping it pretty simple in the skincare department and avoiding anything too rich or oily as they only exacerbate the situation. Luckily I have discovered a skincare saviour in the form of a SPONGE. I know... who am I?! I bought a Konjac Sponge on a whim after reading Lilly's post and needing to see the what all the fuss was about. Well the fuss was totally deserving as I am a little bit in love with this soft green squishy thing. I've been using this every morning (most of the time without cleanser) as it's quick, easy and leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean.

Next up I have also been using the Malin+Goetz Replenishing Face Serum* as the serum is water based but moisturising enough to be used on it's own without overwhelming my skin. Though this isn't the most natural of products it hasn't irritated my skin any further and has helped calms the redness in my skin. The only problem I do have with this is that I can't use it in the mornings, it has a slight tendency to make my makeup ball up and peel away if I try and buff it in with a brush...??

Lastly, something that should have been in my monthly favourites... the Intelligent Nutrients Harmonic Shampoo. Wow this stuff is amazing. As you can see from the bottle it practically does everything, while still smelling deliciously minty, my fave. This stuff leaves my hair so incredibly soft, shiny and light feeling while keeping my hair cleaner for longer. It foams up really well and I like to wash my hair with this twice and on the second wash leave it in for a few minutes to let some of the magic ingredients do their thang... I definitely need the conditioner now!

What have you been loving this week?

  5. I've been wanting to try the Konjac Sponge, but I've heard it's really alkaline and I'm scared if it may ruin my skin. The shampoo is definitely worth a try (dreamy).
