Loving Lately #24

This week has really flown by at serious speed! I don't know where my days are going and what I'm doing with them?? I think I need Bernard's watch.

I've been taking my makeup off as soon as I get home most days, especially if I've been wearing mascara as it can really irritate my eyes! I definitely need to purchase one from a nice all natural brand asap. I use the Bioderma Sebium H20 at the moment, mainly so I can use it up. This is meant to be good for oily skin types but I'm not really sold on the formula as it's quite highly scented which is completely unnecessary for a micellar water. It does a good job at taking makeup off and leaving skin fresh, but I wouldn't actually repurchase as it doesn't fit in with my new green ethos.

Next up is something I've been using on and off for quite a few months now. The Jurlique Purely Bright Day Cream is a lovely, lightweight cream that I've been reaching for when nothing else seems right. I think a lot of people struggle to find the perfect moisturiser and I'm one of them, with fussy skin that can't stand anything too rich. This Jurlique number helps brighten skin, gently fading acne scars and any discolouration in my skin, with kakadu plum extract (containing up to 50 times more vitamin c than oranges) and a whole host of other natural brightening ingredients. This is perfect for mornings where I'm in a rush as it sinks in easily and makeup applies like a dream on top.

Lastly I have been loooooving the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer, much like everyone else I picked this up last month as a magazine freebie as I've used it in the past and know just how good it is. I like to leave it on my hair for as long as humanly possible as the results just get better and better. Hair is left silky and seems full of life again, like you've just been to the hairdressers. My hair loves this and I'm definitely rationing out my little tube to last me as long as possible.

What have you been loving this week?

  1. Hi! I use the Bioderma Sébium (love the 100ml bottle) and it works well on my skin but like you I think that perfume it's unnecessary, specially to the eyes area. Now I'm using La Roche Posay micelar water for sensitive skin and I think it's more gentle.
The Philip Kingsley Elasticizer sound incredible, has been on my wishlist for months. I almost forgot it;)

  2. that jurlique moisturiser sounds good, my skin is like yours and cannot handle anything too rich, such a nightmare! i think i have everything in my skincare routine sorted except moisturiser. I might consider using a la roche posay moisturiser because their effaclar duo doesn't seem to have irritated my skin at

  3. I really wish the elastisizer worked for my hair, although maybe I should be glad it doesn't so my bank balance doesn't suffer!

  4. I'm definitely taking my make up off as soon as I get in tonight, I feel like my face could do with a rest. And Bernards Watch? Could really do with that right now x

  6. I used to have a few products from that Bioderma line as well, and I remember I liked them. I don't think I tried this micellar water though. Just a cleanser and a moisturizer.
