This happens to the best of us, too big of a beauty stash and the things you once loved get shuffled out of the ever changing rotation and are never seen, or heard from again.
These poor, unloved products gather dust, go way past their use by date and are discovered 2 years later and swiftly chucked in the bin. Sound familiar?!

Thankfully I seem to move about a lot and the constant packing and unpacking of my beauty stash allows for very few lost souls. Still, there are a few products that I've rediscovered recently simply because I have not been showing them enough love in favour of bigger and better things.

Hydraluron used to be my holy grail, it worked wonders on me and completely balanced out my previously oily skin. I thought I would never get tired of this but halfway through my second tube a few months ago I just stopped using it to try out new products, after all there's only so much you can pile on your skin, right?! My mission now is to use up the remaining half so it doesn't go to waste and see how I feel about it again. Who knows, maybe this will fix some of my recent skin woes.

Another hydrating skincare product is the Dr Jart Water-Max Sleeping Mask. I used to use this a lot like a regular night time moisturiser, it doesn't feel like a mask on your skin as it's a light cream/gel formula. For me it sadly didn't wow in the hydrating department though so I quickly forgot about it. I didn't dislike this though and really want to give it another go before it goes to waste. Our new flat is really quite hot and stuffy at times so I like the idea of lighter gels and creams instead of a rich sticky cream at night.

Moving onto makeup and if you've been reading my blog for quite some time you'll know I went through a bit of a Stila moment not so long ago and bought quite a few bits from the brand. Without meaning to I have been neglecting the Kitten All Over Shimmer Duo and the Eye Shadow Trio in Goddess. I absolutely adore both of these, they're just so pretty. I thought the eyeshadow trio would help me wear more eyeshadow as I'm terrible at applying it so don't bother very often, but alas I haven't changed. The colours are really pigmented and very shimmery and so I do chicken out a lot. When I have worn this though it's usually just the two lighter shades blended together, so adventurous! I'm going to try this week to really put some effort in and use this handy little trio more, maybe even the darker shade too! The Shimmer Duo I have gotten a lot more use out of since buying it, but I've been skipping highlighter all together for a good few months now in favour of a simple base with matte skin. I used this a few days ago though and know it will always have a place in my makeup bag for emergency shimmer usage as it's too lovely to hide away.

Lastly is my little tube of Bumble & Bumble's Brilliantine, which I honestly think is going to last me another 6 years. You only need the tiniest amount for smooth and shiny locks and this has now come out of hibernation ever since I had my hair cut. It helps keep my hair smooth and frizz free & the ends polished but with a bit of texture too. Sorry I ever forgot about you Mr. Brilliantine!

Do you often go through your stash and dig out the forgotten heroes?
