Birchbox September - The LFW Edition.

When I think of beauty boxes I think back to my early days blogging and the constant excitement of glossyboxes, only to be left bitterly disappointed when my boxes were always full of the dribs and drabs and not a HD palette in sight ;). I switched to Joliebox for a while and loved them until I needed to save my poor pennies for more important things in life. When I heard Joliebox had been taken over by the giants Birchbox, I was curious to see what they could bring to the table, and bring it they have! Reading reviews of the monthly boxes I have been so impressed and was overjoyed to finally get my hands on a box.

This months Birchbox* is inspired by the madness of London Fashion Week and includes some great bits and bobs to keep you in check if you're lucky enough to attend.

Inside my box:
Extra - Green & Blacks chocolate

I was so excited to open up my box and really happy to discover some of the cutest sample sizes, we all know how much I love a good mini! They're almost too cute to use. I think this is a really well thought out selection of products for fashion week, we have the cult classic makeup remover, the stay all day lippie, another classic - an effortless red nail, a gel for those aching legs and feet and a lotion to moisturise any pesky elbows and knees (lord knows the weather isn't too great at the moment, prancing around in a mini skirt all day must get chilly!)

My favourite product has to be the Aromatherapy Associates Revive Body Gel, it smells absolutely divine and feels so soothing on the skin. I've been wanting to try something from the brand for a long time now but I don't have a bath so have always had to pass on their amazing bath oils!
It's also always nice to discover a brand you have never heard of and for me that was Révérence de Bastien. I received the shade 'The One & Only Red', the ultimate sultry red shade that I can't wait to paint on to my nails and maybe my toes too! These polishes retail for £16 a pop, which is nearly up there with YSL & Dior so I'm expecting excellence.

Do you receive a beauty box each month? if so which one?

  3. *Gasp* I haven't subscribed to Birchbox in so long, but this one is amazing! Then, again, you Brits seem to have the better end of the Birchbox anyway, but this is really lovely!
