Loving Lately #20

I've been trying to organise myself this week ready for going on holiday on Thursday but it just hasn't happened... yet ;) Hopefully this weekend I can knuckle down and go over my millions of lists and get to work blogging and packing!

I gave my makeup brushes a super deep clean this week and I have to say the Dr Bonner's Lavender Castile Liquid Soap is my favourite for this, it does such a good job. I used to have the citrus one and used it for EVERYTHING, (it makes an amaaazing clarifying shampoo) but I have the lavender now & it's instantly my favourite. I love anything lavender scented! I'll be taking this away with me as a shampoo/body wash duo, so handy.

Another super smelling product is the Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel*. I used to read a lot about this on blogs many moons ago but not so much anymore?! A forgotten gem I guess. This is a exfoliating cream mask (and it smells like fruity sherbet a.k.a deliciousness) that uses papaya and pineapple enzymes to gently exfoliate dead skin cells away. If like me you find some exfoliating masks a little too harsh, this may be for you... I can't stand any longer than 5 minutes with the REN Glycolactic mask on or my face turns into a tomato. I luckily don't find that with this little Elemis number and have used it twice this week in the hopes of getting my skin somewhat presentable for being makeup-less on a plane ... eek!

Lastly is my one and only salt spray, the Schwarzkopf Beach Matt Salt Spray. I may have over conditioned my hair this week, using a deep conditioning treatment 3 times in a row... and although my hair was like silk for once it was a little too soft and impossible to even keep up in a bun. So out came the salt spray! I forget to use this because I'm awful with hair styling products... I just don't bother, far too much effort. But it added some much needed texture and grit to my hair so it was a bit of a lifesaver this week! Hopefully I have time to dye my hair red this weekend so it will be back to it's usual damaged self in no time ;)

What have you been loving this week??

  1. I love the Dr Bronner soap, I use it for brushes too. I've never tried it as a shampoo though, but have been on the look out for something clarifying so may just have to give it a go! x

  2. I'm so envious of your holiday! We'll all miss you, babe. I have heard a lot about the Elemis Enzyme Peel in the past, but it looks lovely. As you probably know, I'm also a massive fan of the Dr. Bronner's. You have to get the massive bottle.

  8. I'm so happy I stumbled upon your blog! I love discovering natural, organic beauty products. Dr Bronner's soaps are great... I love that they don't contain SLS. And the Elemis peel sounds like something I need in my skincare routine! I have pretty sensitive skin so I think I might go for this over the REN one :)
