Loving Lately #18

Another week and another little trio of beauty goods! I've been feeling a little out of it this week, exhausted with a serious lack of concentration, not sure what's up with me but I'm just powering through! 2 weeks 6 days until I go on holiday! not that I'm counting down or anything...

I've been using the Balance Me Congested Skin Serum* every day this week and I'm loving it so far, the lightweight, non-greasy serum smells like you've just walked into a less sickeningly sweet, herbier version of LUSH. It sinks in quickly and after one use I noticed two nasty blemishes I had were no longer painful or as inflamed. It's not worked miracles on actually banishing the spots but it has improved them over the week. More testing needed but I do like this!

I'm pretty sure this eyeliner is the Inika Mineral Eyeliner Pencil but it appears to have been repackaged now as I've had mine for over a year and the writing had completely worn off. This is one of the softest eyeliners I have ever used & I sure know my eyeliner! It doesn't irritate my eyes, and is blacker than black, the only time I don't use this is when I need something with a little more staying power and reach for my Urban Decay Liner in Zero (which I save as it's so teeny tiny now!). It lasts an okay amount of time but it does smudge easily around my eyes and fade from my waterline, but it is fantastic for a natural/organic brand and very well loved in my makeup bag.

Lastly, another RMS Beauty product has snuck it's way to me, this time the 'Un' Cover Up! I picked the lightest shade '11' and it did appear a little too yellow in the pot but don't be fooled! This stuff blends and adapts to your skin like a dream. I've been using it as a concealer as it is coconut oil based and a little too oily for me to use all over but patted under the eyes, over blemishes it's wonderful. The yellow really helps to correct redness so it's perfect for blemishes and the coconut oil helps to heal them, bonus! I really need to set with powder (I use the RMS 'Un' Powder of course!), non optional for me but if you have dry skin I imagine it would give you the loveliest glow.

What do you think of my picks this week? Have you tried anything from these brands before?

  9. I've never heard of Rms Beauty before....I'd be interested to try this, but £28 seems a bit much? The Balance Me serum is intriguing though, may have to look into this!

  12. I wandered into town the other day specifically to pick up a pot of the RMS 'un' cover up, only to discover that my local stockist had closed down. Reading this post has only served to heighten my disappointment! I feel a Cult Beauty order on the cards x

  14. I've had a bit of a love-in with Balance Me products lately but after a few weeks of use my skin has broken out so badly. Their products are the only newbies in my routine so I've stopped using them for a bit to see if it helps - I hope it wasn't them though as I love their skincare so much x
