Daily Essentials 2.

Like a bad follow up film I'm here with another Daily Essentials post (here was the first). As a beauty blogger I chop and change products A LOT. What's life without a little variety?! But there are a few things that become part of my routine day in, day out... atleast for a little bit.

Lately I've been trying to regularly take a daily dose of Evening Primrose Oil as it's supposedly good for hormonal breakouts, which I'm 99% sure I suffer from. I picked up a bottle of the Seven Seas Perfect Harmony health oils as they also contain a dose of fish oil for some more omega 3, plus they were on offer. The only downside is the capsules size, they're HUGE. I have to take them with something fizzy so that I can swallow them easier, ergh.

I'm pretty sure I don't need to rave about the RMS Beauty 'Un' Powder any more, my love is actually written in stone. I use this everyday to avoid the attractive oily/sweaty faced look I often achieve by dinner time. This smoothes skin and gives a pretty flawless finish, banishes any shine in a second and actually leaves me happy with my appearance for once. I've been using my new Real Techniques Duo-Fibre Face Brush to apply this as it is so incredibly soft and picks up just the right amount for a light application.

The Clarins Exfoliating Toner is an addition that I can't always tell is doing anything at all to my skin, but I keep at it anyway in the hopes of a perfect complexion... one day. I've found I notice a difference more when I don't use this, my skin becomes dull and congested very quickly. The Origins No Puffery Cooling Roll On* is another like this, I can't tell if it's doing anything but boy does it feel good on my eyes, especially in this heat. My eyes become dry and itchy quite easily but a swipe of this around them & I'm in heaven for a few seconds.

Lastly we have the CND Solar Oil, in the most adorable little bottle ever. I got this in my BBB Beauty Box and have used it constantly since. It has made such a difference to my cuticles and I thought they were pretty alright before! You can buy this little 3ml bottle on ebay here for a mere £2.85 and believe me, it's going to last you months! I may stock up...

What are some of your essentials lately?

  10. There's nothing quite like a cooling roll-on, is there? I love it, especially in the summer. The Gernier Roll-On concealer is a great product because of that: maybe the coverage isn't too great, but the cool ball works a treat to remove puffiness. I've been using a jade roller to reduce under eye puffiness and I am so far pleased with the results :)

  17. I'm the same way with beauty products, yet it can be a bit of a problem sometimes. The RMS powder sounds ammaaazzingg! i think you should give Kate a try and see if it's a cheaper version of the By Terry Hydra Powder - darn, that stuff's expensive. The Real Techniques brushes sound great, as well. I'm actually in need of a new blush and powder brush, so maybe I'll check these out.

  18. I've been interested in the Clarins Exfoliating Toner for a while now. It seems like most people like it. I'm curious to see if it will do anything for the little congested pores around my nose area.

  19. I'm curious about the Clarins toner. I've been reading a lot of blogs saying it's good to use an exfoliant to decongest the face. I'm just afraid of using something new because my skin has been behaving well lately. haha
