Loving Lately #16

Whenever I miss a week from doing this little weekly favourites feature I feel like I haven't posted in (approximately) 1437 years! Granted things have been a little quiet round these parts this week but I kind of needed the time away, blogging is all consuming some days! I'm definitely not as productive in this kind of heat either, luckily I had accidentally left a gap in my blog schedule (planning my posts out every month helps me stay focused!) that turned out to actually be a good thing!

I spent all day in Manchester on Wednesday too, did a little bit holiday clothes shopping (thank's Primark, practically a whole new wardrobe for £60!), had my first ever Taco Bell which was all kinds of amazing aaaand then attended a lovely Neal's Yard blog event in the evening! This was my first blog event and I was ridiculously nervous for some reason, but all was well! ;)

Anyway, this weeks beauty bits are relatively new, in fact I actually only got the Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion on Wednesday but it made such an amazing difference to my skin after just one use that it immediately secured it's spot in today's post. I've had the most terrible skin recently, probably the worst it's been in years now and for the life of me can't figure out why it's happening! This Mario B Lotion is the first thing that has made any sort of change for the better and I may do a little song and dance about I'm so happy, look out for my Youtube debut coming soon. (I kid)

Next up is the Klorane Pomegranate Conditioning Balm. I find it really hard to find nice conditioners that don't weigh my hair down or take an age to wash out and yet still manage to leave a greasy residue!? This has completely won me over, it's really light yet still nourishing, good at detangling and specifically for my coloured hair type. I also picked up the Citrus shampoo which I'm rather liking too!

I've also been liking this Honey Bronzing Powder* from The Body Shop. I have the palest shade which is perfect for my pale skin tone, it's actually really hard to describe but it just makes me look a little bit more summer appropriate! It's only a tiny bit of colour that I can apply pretty much all over my face lightly or focus on my cheekbones and attempt to 'bronze it up'. Thankfully it's matte too so no sweaty glitter face. It's not particularly good at setting makeup or removing shine so if I was to eventually tan I wouldn't use this as a general powder.

What have you been loving this week?! :)

  1. That Body Shop bronzer sounds perfect.. I'm so pale and terrified to bronze so I might pop in store and try it out.
