RIP... Empties #3.

The last empties post I did was in in August! Obviously I've used up a lot more than what I've shown here, but this was what was lying around at the time, the rest have all gone to beauty heaven (AKA the recycling bin) RIP.

First up is the Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins which has been talked about quite a lot in blog land recently, my original review of this was was posted nearly a year ago(!!!!) We can ignore the fact it took me so long to use this up, as I did fall in and out of love with it quite a lot, but when it did finally die a few weeks ago, I was gutted. I wish Origins would put their moisturisers in tubes or pumps as the pots really are unhygienic and the ingredients lose their potency and go off very quickly. I would buy this again though if the packaging changed!

My first tube of Hydraluron also ran out not long ago, it lasted me a really long time so I was very impressed. I put off repurchasing straight away as I wasn't sure the changes has been worth it... about a week later I had 2 cystic spots on my cheek and my skin was an oily mess. We are now re-united and I'm still battling the annoying little lumps under my skin. Not happy. I'm sorry I ever doubted you Hydraluron.

Three samples (of many) I used up were the Pai Avocado & Jojoba Hydrating day cream, a really lovely cream I'd consider buying in the winter! The REN Invisible Pores Detox mask, gentle but effective, I'd really like the full size. And the Aesop Anti-Oxidant  Serum, a really thick aloe vera based serum that was quite hydrating. Not sure I'd buy the full size as it's around £40!?

I also finished up my NUDE Purify Cleansing Wash which has been mentioned so many times already on my blog (read my review here) that you may be sick of it, but it's amazing. The REN T-Zone Balancing Day Fluid also bit the dust and I'm surprised to say I never reviewed it in full! It has been mentioned plenty of times here if you look through the REN tag (I do love me a bit of REN!), so you get the idea, I loved it & would consider a repurchase in the future! It was perfect for my combination skin.

Last up we have a Schwarzkopf dry shampoo. I've been testing out a lot of different dry shampoos lately and this is a winner, no grey hair and it smells lush. I find invisible dry shampoos to not be as effective as the ones with the powder most of the time but this one was really nice, I love trying out new haircare so I don't know if I'd ever get around to buying this again, but I do like it!

phew, that was a bit of an essay, sorry. ;)

  2. Definitely going to try the dry shampoo! I colour my hair red and need to resist washing it every other day if I can but Batiste shows up so grey in my hair! Thanks for the tip :)

  10. Love a good empties post ;) I'd love to pick up Night-a-Mins but I have so many other moisturisers to work through first. Blogger problems huh ;)
