Loving Lately #10

This week has gone in the blink of an eye, on Tuesday I got my hair cut rather short, which is a huge deal for me! I'll have to show you pictures soon but here's a little instagram from the day (If only I could have it blow dried straight everyday!!). I've also gone and dyed it red again! well it's more auburn because my hair is naturally dark. I'm never sure if I suit red hair but I love it anyway. We also went to see Iron Man 3 on Wednesday and it was amaaaazing, I love super hero films. Getting excited for the rest of the Marvel films now!

Anyway back to beauty, this week I've been putting the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to the test, I've tried it with both foundation and cream blush and I have to say cream blush wins. I find it just a little too small and stubby for blending in my foundation. Though it still did a fabulous job I think the buffing brush wins for me, it'll be great for switching things up though. With cream blush I've always used the stippling brush but I found it hard to build up colour and blend as easily as I can with the expert face brush, I actually look like I have blush on now, it's a miracle.

The Elemental Herbology Moisture Milk is another new purchase and I'm in love. I have to be really careful with moisturiser as I find it so easy to overwhelm my skin and end up greasy faced all day. This is something else, it's a light milk/liquid that sinks into my skin almost immediately, hydrating my skin and getting rid of any dry patches, whilst also refining and helping to keep my skin clear with glycolic and lactic acids. So far I'm really impressed and I'll make sure to put a full review up asap!

Lastly is an old favourite, the Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque. I'm trying to not be so forgetful with masks at the moment as my skin can get a little dull and become blocked pore central. This is actually the only clay mask I have in my collection and it's so lovely to use, from the lavender scent to the light texture to the ease of washing it off, I just la-la-looove it. I really need to pick up another clay mask or two so that I can start rationing this stuff as it aint cheap! Do you have any recommendations I could try?

  1. I'm not much of a fan of moisturiser and masks but I like the sound of the brush. I love the idea of using it with a cream blush, I usually just use my fingers :)

  7. I believe everything said was very reasonable. But, what about this?
what if you were to write a killer headline? I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your blog, however suppose you added a headline that makes people want more? I mean "Loving Lately #10" is a little vanilla. You ought to look at Yahoo's front page and see how they create article titles to get people interested.

You might add a related video or a pic or two to get people interested about
what you've got to say. Just my opinion, it would make your website a little livelier.

  10. Hey, oh I love this post. The clay mask I use (only one in my possession :( ) is REN's invisible pores detox one. (I think that's the name.. I really love that one :)
