Loving Lately #5

#5
A little bit of everything this week with some lovely things for skin, hair and make-up! Ooh la la! First up is my newest possession: the Clarins Extra-Comfort Cleansing Cream. I've been uhm-ing and ah-ing over this for weeks now so when mine and Michael's 2 year anniversary suddenly happened, he knew just what to get me (he gets dragged into Boots way too often, poor guy).
This is a really gentle cleanser and my first impressions are good, it's a light cream, not thick at all and is easily massaged into skin to dissolve make-up. After washing away with a warm flannel my skin is so soft and feels soothed if my skin is acting up. Onto a winner!

Make-up has been simple this week (like always) and I've been reaching for my Stila Convertible Colour in Lillium for a pinky peachy glow to my cheeks. I was rather scared of cream blush before this but it's easy to blend out for just a bit of colour and now I can't wait to experiment with more colours, perhaps one of the mega-bright revlon ones will be next!

Finally, on my quest for more volume I've been testing a little kit from Paul Mitchell and this is my favourite, The Extra-Body Daily Boost Root Lifter. Sprayed on damp roots *duh* it adds a little texture and volume when you use a hair dryer. On dry hair it's more noticeable and you have to use lightly to avoid a sticky situation! I've been using it both ways this week and do really notice a difference though, hurrah! Volume at last!

Have you tried any of my top 3 faves this week?
P.S. You know what to do: Bloglovin / Hellocotton / Twitter
P.P.S I'm sick :(

  1. The Clarins cleanser sounds really lovely. I'm quite scared of cream blushes too, but the colour of that Stila one looks amazing and I think cream blushes are really nice for summer :)

  5. Oh! I love that blush color; so pretty! :)
I actually prefer cream blush over powder, but I tend to use powdered blush more - go figure!
