The most amazing Wednesday of my life so far.

On Wednesday the 11th of July 2012, We drove down to leavesdon to visit the Harry Potter Studio Tour.
Words cant express how excited I was, you guys.. I'm a big Harry Potter fan ;) Like, major shaking crying if I was to meet J.K Rowling kind of fan.
It was a little overwhelming and wandering around I was in a slight daze, none of it seemed real.. and obviously that's because it's not, they're just sets, costumes and the like. I found it hard to believe these actual things were used in the films... it all looks a lot better on film!
My favourite part was at the beginning which I won't spoil, but it was very awesome way to be introduced to the great hall! :)
& then of course the Hogwarts replica was incredible.. amazing, seriously, My jaw dropped when I went into the room, and I know Mikey's did aswell! It's so large and detailed! I wanted to get close and peep through all the little windows. It also really put the castle into perspective, I don't know about you but I always got confused as to where everything was in relation to everything else... courtyards and such, but they are all there!

A couple of my 249 pictures of the tour!

It was really hard to take pictures as the lighting was always iffy and quite dark a lot of the time. I was also really upset to discover over half of my pictures turned out blurry.. but I guess that just gives me an excuse to go again when I get a better camera (hurry up birthday!) ;)

I didn't take any good pictures of the gift shop, but I did spend quite a lot of my pennies in there! I didn't realise things were going to be so expensive! Chocolate frogs are £7! I really wanted to buy Hermiones' time turner, but settled for a chocolate frog, sugar quill, deathly hallows keyring and a wand (ha!) so maybe next time... shh!

Have you been to the studio tour?

P.S. Butterbeer is NASTY.

  1. ahh, this is so cool! The closest thing we have to a HP studio tour in the US is Harry Potter world at Universal Studios in florida. It's cool, but it's not where the magic actually happened! Looks like you had so much fun!

  7. I am desperate to go!!! My younger sister went a few weeks ago, and after seeing the pictures I was absolutely dying to go!!! Now the urge is back :p but sadly I can't afford it at the moment :( it looks so amazing. I am totally as crazy a HP fan as you :) and I don't even know if I'd dare to try butterbeer! At least now I know to save up lots of pennies for the gift shop though :) xx

  10. I was like that too, I was near tears when I got my tickets through the post haha ;)
This cost us so much that we made it our 'holiday' for the summer! I definitely recommend saving but it is SO worth it! :)

  11. Just found your blog through Angelica's post on her favourite blogs today. So glad too as it is amazing :) You have the most wonderful photographs - with a real personal touch - there being a real lifestyle element to someone's blog is something that really makes me want to read and follow which I will of course be doing from now on!

P.S. So jealous of this trip! It's somewhere I am dying to pay a visit to!Sarahx
